Puppy Training Success
“ We called Triumphant Canine when we first got our new puppy Loki. He is a blue-nosed pitbull breed. We have a family with two little children so it was important to us that Loki was trained correctly from the beginning. We were so happy when our trainer, Dan, showed us the techniques for training our puppy. He showed us the best practices and processes to make sure that he was a happy dog and we were a happy family. We might have learned more than the puppy did! Now we have a grown dog who is incredibly smart and well trained. We owe all of our thanks to our trainer for showing us the tricks and skills we needed to teach our dog good obedience. We would recommend Triumphant Canine to anyone who is looking for a skilled, friendly trainer for their canine family members. Thank You Triumphant Canine!”

A Great Dane Named Sampson
“ We brought home our new Great Dane Sampson at 9 weeks and considering his dad was over 200 lbs, we knew we wanted to get him trained early on and make sure we could keep control of what was to become a very big lovable dog. We brought in Dan and couldn't have asked for a better experience. He was very thorough, explained how things would go and demonstrated his expertise before we ever paid a dime. His demeanor and patience with Sampson was impressive to watch and over 6 sessions, we watched our big boy become incredibly obedient and confident. Now over 170 lbs, I can tell you that hiring Dan early on was easily the best decision we ever made with Sampson. He is very big, but very obedient and respectful puppy and that would have not been possible without Dan's guidance and expertise. I highly recommend you invite Dan over just so you can see what he can do with just one session with your dog. You will NOT be disappointed! Thanks a million Dan!”

Thank you Dan!
“ My dog is a 2/12 year old Labrador named Hudson. I’ve had him since he was a puppy and as he matured it became more difficult to predict how he would behave in different situations especially while on leashed walks. Over time he started barking and even lunging at other dogs, making it less and less enjoyable and more of a task. I stopped taking him to places, such as, Washington Park, previously one of our favorite places to relax, knowing that I would be returning home very stressed and with a sore arm from holding the leash so tightly. Since the first training session working with Dan in my home, I felt a breath of fresh air and confidence, which has progressed over the last couple of months! It has been fun watching Hudson master basic commands with ease and even learn a few tricks in the meantime. I didn’t expect it to seem so fun for my dog and now he constantly looks up to me for direction. Not only have I seen a change in him but I have also seen a change in how I interact with him…instead of correcting problem behaviors I have found myself being more proactive showing him something else to do instead. A few months ago, after more than a year, I had the courage to return to Washington Park with Hudson. There were many dogs, geese, running children, skateboards, and plenty of other distractions however we were actually able to have a great time and a “normal” walk around the park; something I thought would never again be possible. Dan certainly provided me with great insight, direction, and tools to improve the quality of life of both my dog and myself!”

“ Bella is an 8 month old Belgian, Dutch and German sheperd, and we are training her to become a service dog. And after about 7 months of training her we hit a wall. So we called Dan, and Bella started listening and responding so much better. Sit, stay, post, and yes even off the leash walking. To anyone even thinking they need or would like there dog to "act" better or to respond every time to every command you have to contact Dan. The training is amazing ! Bella has very "HIGH DRIVE" and she has to go into stores, restaurant's, hotel's, airports every place her human goes. And after the training sessions with Dan we are very confident taking Bella with us everywhere no leash pulling or barking or growling or acting up at all. She is even trained to off leash walking with ignoring all of the distractions around her. I highly reccomend getting the free evaluation! Once again thank you Dan!! We will see you at the group training!”

“ I've worked with Dan with 2 dogs. Cody was an older dog that needed some confidence. Rusty came along later and needed to learn basic obedience as a typical young, energetic puppy. Obviously, each of them required a very different approach. From the first meeting where you discuss your goals and throughout the entire process, Dan is always available to assess your progress with your dog, give guidance and tailor the training techniques to what works best for you and your pet. Dan is awesome and I look forward to working with him again with my newest addition!”

Best Training Ever!
“ We cannot say enough great things about Dan McCarthy as a trainer at Triumphant Canine Dog Training. Paris, our one year old white lab, who is high energy and has always been a handful is now an absolute joy to be around. The training and information Dan has given us has been life changing. Dan really cares about his customers and their dogs and it's very evident when you meet him. We highly recommend to everyone we know who has dogs and are in need of some training to give Dan a call. You won't regret it!”

A Boxer named Coco
“ When 10 week old Coco joined our family we knew that we wanted to spend the time and energy to give him the best training that we could find to ensure that he has a long, healthy and happy life! We did a ton of research and found Dan with Triumphant Canine which we had heard very good things about, to schedule an appointment. We are so happy that we took that step. We started training Coco some basic commands very young and quickly realized that he was an exceptional dog that was very smart, loved treats and praises and craved the game of learning obedience, when we started with Dan Coco was around 3 months, and as of writing this Coco is almost 7 months (boy time go fast!). We has learned so much! and have such confidence in Coco now thanks to Dan and his training methods. By far our favorite part of the training is the group classes that Dan hosts. The controlled distractions and socialization that Coco gets from those sessions helps us have the confidence to apply the techniques in the real world with confidence. Thank you so much Dan and the rest of the Triumphant team!”
- The Nichols Family
“ We interviewed multiple dog training companies and Triumphant Canine stood out from the beginning. Dan truly has a gift for connecting with dogs of all temperaments. Perhaps more importantly, he accurately assessed our dog's training needs, and offered the appropriate training package without "upselling" us. Our puppy loved him immediately. Thankfully, Dan is also an ideal teacher for humans - he is patient, understanding, and communicates clearly. We came to Triumphant Canine with some of the typical unwanted behaviors. Going for walks was miserable as our puppy would either pull on the leash constantly or lay down & refuse to move. Dan showed us easy techniques that worked to change the behavior in the first week. Dan emphasizes how dogs become more confident through the training program, but we are also more confident now in our ability to give our dog what he needs and to manage his behavior. The group classes have also exceeded our expectations. Thanks, Dan!”

Thank you Triumphant Canine!!
“ We could not be more grateful for Dan's help. Our dog, Nellie, has severe anxiety and gets incredibly upset when we leave the house or when we have company over. After working with Dan for a few months, Nellie has become so much more confident. She barks less when people come to our door and she gets less panicky when we leave the house. Dan has helped her become great with commands and he has given us really helpful tools to keep Nellie calm and well behaved. We can't thank Dan and Triumphant Canine enough!”

“ Dan has helped me train my highly reactive dogs with confidence! He truly cares about you and your dogs sucess. I would recommend him for any of your training needs. Thank you !!”
“ We adopted our little Allie from Dumb Friends League back in August. She is a 4yr old Kelpie mix, so lots of energy! After several attempts to go on family hike adventures with Allie, we realized she was just too out of control to enjoy taking her anywhere. With high recommendation, we called Triumphant Canine to come evaluate Allie, and immediately put her into training! The turn around we have seen in our little dog has been truly remarkable! For once we can now loose leash walk her all around our neighborhood. She is obedient when we come across other dogs or people. And she LISTENS to us! She was never a bad dog, just so hyper we had no idea how to get her to listen to us. The training tips Triumphant Canine explained to us have been so easy to teach and continue using everyday to reinforce the training. We are AMAZED and so excited to see what the future now holds for us and Allie!!!”

Best Trainer and Techniques
“ Over the past 20 years, I have trained many dogs (Rotties, Soft Coated Wheaten, German Shepherds, Bull Mastiff, Hounds, Old English Sheepdog, Giant Schnauzer, etc.) with Denver trainers who have used a broad spectrum of training techniques and tools. The end results have been variable (unfortunately, sometimes frustrating and discouraging). Dan is the first trainer I've worked with who really 'gets' the psychology of each dog as well as the training relationship issues that are specific to the breed and the handler. I love watching Dan in action during group classes. Consistent, patient, upbeat, firm, and demanding of both dogs and people, Dan gets amazing results. Best of all, it is evident that he is passionate about his work, wants the best for dog and handler, and brings his best to the class each time.”
“ Dan has helped me with my hard headed lab her sit stay is solid now after hanging out with dan”

“ My name is Andrea and I adopted my dog Oats in 2015. She was quickly name Wild Oats. I was at the point were I was going to give her back. We met Dan and things began to change. I am now able to take her to the dog park or anywhere and she is a typical dog. Thanks so much Dan”
So patient and smart and kind
“ I was struggling to get my new pup to heel and not pull on her leash. Tara was so patient with me and explained several training equipment and techniques, and helped me find the one that worked best for me and my pup.”
“ Tara is energetic and knowledgeable. She came to our home in response to a cry for help with two dogs with very different sets of issues. One displays fear based aggression and is highly reactive. The other displays separation anxiety and food aggression. After nearly losing one of the dogs to over consumption of non-edibles, when he broke out of his kennel, I reached out to Tara for advise. She has many years of behavioral training experience with dogs in a variety of settings and it shows with her humorous and humble approach. She gained the attention of both dogs and was able to demonstrate what they were capable of within minutes. Let's face it, the training was more for the humans than for our dogs. She helped us regain our confidence, with her understanding and direct approach to tackling each dog's unique set of issues. She helped us realize the mistakes we were making as handlers, without judgement. I would highly recommend Tara for any sort behavioral support and training with any breed of dog. P.S. I give this review regarding our two 55 lb. pit bulls, one of which tried to eat her when she came to the door. Tara could not have handled the situation any better, in not showing fear and gaining the trust of both dogs.”

Tara is Awesome!!
“ Our 2.5 year old Lab named Roo came into our home as a puppy. As she grew, it become more difficult to control her. She jumped, pulled, licked and tried to knock down everyone she met. She was a nightmare to walk. Then we met TARA...from the moment we met Tara, we knew she was going to help us turn around our approach to interacting with Roo. Tara listened to our concerns and implemented a plan to improve the quality of life for Roo and our family. Each time Tara visited our home for a lesson our confidence grew and we achieved such POSITIVE results. The change in Roo and our interaction with her is phenomenal. We can now have company in the house and Roo will maintain her 'place' - no more jumping, licking or knocking people over. She can maintain her 'manners' when in the front yard - even when other dogs or neighbors walk by. Walking Roo is now a pleasure. No more pulling my arm out of the socket. Tara gave us the tools, insight into dog psychology and confidence to manage Roo's behavior. Thank you Tara for all your hard work. You are an awesome trainer and we could not thank you enough for all you have done for Roo and our family.”
